Lego Jesus

I thought my nephew had every Lego ever made but this statue takes the cake.
Members of the congregation donated nearly 30,000 Lego bricks to build the 5ft 8 high statue, said Per Wilder, the pastor of the Oensta Gryta Church (presumably not made of Legos) in Vaesteras, about 70 miles west of Stockholm.
Finished just in time for the Easter holiday, the work began a year and a half ago.
The model was based on the Danish sculptor, Bertel Thorvaldsens's, 19th century work 'Christus', which depicts the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Boy you have been busy entering
things on the blog. Lets see-
the horses I had seen on CNN
this a.m. Don't think dad would
have taken the time to have his
done. As for the shamans---
are you one of 188 that have
entered? If not, there still might
be time. Am sure you can find a
dead animal some place. The
chocolate deal might work. Maybe
I should send for one????? As for
the lego's, don't think Zachie
would have the time or effort to
do quite such a project. Am sure
it is neat seeing it in person
tho. Lots of work. . .. . More
than I'd ever think of doing.
